Welcome to Whatcom County WX. I want to serve the Pacific NW specifically the upper county in the lower 48 states. Whatcom County is home to Bellingham Bay to the West, Mt. Baker to the East, borders British Columbia to the North, and is next to the beautiful valley of Skagit County.
Where else can you be in 2 of the largest North American cities (Vancouver, B.C. and Seattle, WA) in less than 2 hours? Where can you be boating early in the morning and skiing in the afternoon? Not too many places in the world boast the beauty and wonderful living experience like Whatcom County, and yet much of this area feels like small-town USA with cities like Lynden, Ferndale, Everson, Blaine, Nooksack, and Sumas.
But, just as diverse as the people who live in this great place is the weather. The mild climate and close proximity to the water afford some of the best summer weather in the world. Yet, we can also have several snowstorms each winter. While Bellingham can be in the mid 40's, Lynden and Sumas can be iced over as a result of the Fraser River outflow winds.
